Dewstar jumps onto High Rock, wincing from her scrath she earned fighting the large black and white dog. "I want to thank the warriors who helped drive the dogs away, but I'm here to make new warriors. I know there are apprentices that have been training longer, but Rowanpaw and Mistpaw, please step forward," she says with a sigh. Rowanpaw looked up, proud and Mistpaw tingled with excitment, trying to act older. "Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, protect and defend you clan, even with the cost of your life?"
"I do."
She rest her head upon each apprentice. "Then you shall be known as Mistfire and Rowanfoot."
Rowanfoot! Mistfire! Rowanfoot! Mistfire!
"We also have Brightdawn and Tigerfang joining as warriors. Eaglecry, you will mentor Fernpaw, who is also a new joiner. Tigerfang, you shall mentor Ravenpaw, though you are new. And Duskpaw, Dewdrop shall teach you," she saids, then carefully walks down High Rock.

ReplyDeleteLightpaw looked up at the newly named Mistfire and Rowanfoot. A spark of jealously rose in her heart, but she quickly squashed it down. That'll be me soon enough, she thought to herself, and a warm tingle spread throughout her body.
