This is where you go on hunting patrols to hunt for the clan or check the borders for any signs of enemies.
Borders:
We border IvyClan near the Great Stone, LakeClan at the edge of the RiverOak, and BriarClan is in between them. Behind our camp is twolegplace.
Hunting:
Our territory consists of birds, squirrels, mice, fish, other woodland prey, and the occasional rabbit.

Songheart waited by the entrance of camp to leave with the hunting patrol.

ReplyDeleteA young she-cat with blue-gray fur that sparks like fire jumps onto her fence. She jumps down and stares into the forest with awe. Hearing the fapping of a bird's wings she pricks her ears and stalks toward it. Just as it lets out a warning call, she launches into the air, and misses the bird by a whisker.

She backed up behind. "Kitty-Pets aren't aloud here! And we need that fresh-kill, mind you." Hazelberry then did a proper hunters crouch and located a bird and pounced, killing it with a swift bite to the neck, and also getting a little irritated that a kitty-pet had crossed their border.

He nodded to Hazelberry "I know! Just want to have a bit of fun. Now you" he swung around to the kittypet "You need to get out of Cloverclans territory!" he shot after the kitty-pet scuffling up the dust so it looked worse then it was.

Jaysong picked his way through the ferns "Oh kittypet! Where could you beeee??" he yowled out sarcastically.

She padds right past the border and is caught off guard at two pairs of eyes looking out of the ferns. She growls and launches herself out the gray tabby.

Jaysong yowled a warning to Hazelberry. "This" he grunted "Will be easy!" he twisted around and clawed at her back quickly pinning her down with his weight and bigger size

Pumaclaw went up to the border and remarked it as Brookshadow did the others. "Looks like were done." He meowed. "Why don't we hunt?" He suddenly bunched up his haunches and sprang onto a unsuspected squirrel eating a nut and killed it.

Ravenpaw walks out of the den and instantly starts to drink in the air. He smells a rabbit and stalks through the brambles until he sees it in front of him. With one quick and quiet spring, the rabbit is dead. On his lone hunting patrol, he also catches two mice before going back to camp with his prey.

Tigerclaw, his pelt raggeded from being a rouge, peered out from some ferns, amber eyes glowing. He spots Dewstar walking around in the forest, smelling the air for prey. With oyuth and stealth on his side, he jupmed onto Dewstar's back.

He instantly got up and sank his teeth deep into her throat.

She thrust him away, sending the rouge scurring out of the territory, but Dewstar had aready fallen to the ground. Blood poured from her neck; she was losing a life.

Brookshadow sat very, very still as she watched Leafpaw stalk, and then catch, a juicy vole. "Great catch, Leafpaw! That will do good for the clan," she complimented, burying her own squirrel. Brookshadow looked around at Brightdawn and Bramblepaw. "How is everyone doing?" She asked.

Dovecloud stalks through the forest, trying to find the scent of prey. She smells a mouse, and stalks in that direction. The mouse is now right in front of her, only a couple tail-lengths away. But Dovecloud can't see the mouse, only a small brown blurr that just barely stands out of the colors around it. Her vision is still foggy and blurred. Still, she leaps and trys to catch the prey, but she lands a little to the left and the mouse runs off. "Oh well," she meows to herself and shrugs it off, padding away to try to catch something else.

Dovecloud trys to catch other prey, but fails. Her bad vision always makes her leap a little off. She is ashamed that she must go back to camp, emty handed after hunting.

"Stormwater!" Cloverstreak burst out of the bushes. "I found you! The kits are off exploring the camp and I wanted to get out and hunt with you... So here I am!"

He skidded to hault, Dovecloud and Dawnfire bumping into him from behind. "Oh, we've already sort of finished. . . but after I drop this off, we can go hunting. Just me and you," he puured and licked her ear before leading the patrol back into camp.

When they got to camp, he dropped his starling and fih on the fresh-kill pile. Then, he turned to Cloverstreak. "Hunting?" he asks. "Oh, and I'll stop by the nursery to see the kits after."

Cloverstreak glanced behind her. Stormwater was gaining fast. She turned into a clump of ferns for a quick detour... And stopped dead in her tracks. "Stormwater!" she screeched, horrified by the sight before her eyes.
ReplyDelete"Not going to make me stop. Can't trick me!" he says, passing her, but tripps and tumbles into the ferns. Looking up, he sees a huge, scarred, snarling fox, staring at them. He slowly backed away, but the fox sprang at Stormwater, bowling him over. He clawed at his throat and kicked him off with his hindlegs.

"No!" Cloverstreak yelped, and without thinking, she charged at the fox. The fox turned on her, and swiped at her with it's paw. She dodged, but was a little too slow from having kits. She gasped as the fox's claws sliced through her fur, and winced as the searing pain started. Blood flowed freely and started getting in her eyes, temporarily blinding her. In desperation, she leaped for the nearest tree and scrambled up, calling for Stormwater to do the same. "StarClan, help us!"

He ignored her call and lunged at it's throat, but was slammed to the ground. Stormwater groaned, but got back up and bit into it's throat, hanging on until it grew limp. He let go and spat the blood out from his mouth and limped to the tree Cloverstreak was in. "Are you okay?"

ReplyDeleteCloverstreak woke up in time to see the ground coming towards her. "That's weird," she wondered. "Why is the ground-" and then she hit it, full force. She heard Stormwater's alarmed yowl from up in the tree. "Ow! I'm okay!" she carefully flexed each limb and made sure she had no injuries other than the loss of blood from the fox fight. Nope. "I was lucky," she purred a little shakily at Stormwater. "But let's go back to camp. You're still bleeding!" Gingerly, the two cats headed back to camp, tails twined.

After Darkeningpaw left the camp, he looked side to side to see if there was any more patrols, but there wasn't right now. He darted over the border.

rainfall over hearing came tawards them."i know how you feel darkeningpaw,echoleaf died protecting me from a dog,because i didn't climb a tree fast enought.i thought it was my falt at least till mistar told me this.it's not your falt it was her choice,she could have climbed a tree,or done something else but she wanted to protect you."she looked at sparrowpaw.why don't you both get back to camp i'll get the freshkill we caught."she told sparrowpaw.
