echoleaf and her kits had caught 2 mice and a squirel.brightpaw and rainpaw were about to catch a rabit together.echoleaf watched them with pride.rainpaw pounced and caught the rabit.suddenly echoleaf smelled something."it smells like dog"...then she saw it a big slobering brown beast.it was going to attack her kits!"brightpaw,rainpaw climb a tree quick!"brightpaw climed a tree straight away but rainpaw was to late the dog had already spotted her.echoleaf jumped in frote of rainpaw."climb a tree now all keep it busy!"rainpaw climed the tree next to them.while echoleaf batted at the dog. once rainpaw was in the tree and safe echoleaf fallowed her up the tree but the dog wasn't giving up on prey and pulled her down by her back paw.once she fell on the ground it bit her neck but before it could kill her she bit hard down on his tail and he went whining back to it's tolegs.echoleaf stood blood poring from her neck,both apprentices ruhed to there mothers side."echoleaf you beat it,you beat it!"they cheered suddenly brightpaw noticed that echoleaf was saking."echoleaf are you ok?"
ReplyDeletethen she fell weak and dieing.both of her kits gatherd around her."echoleaf don't leave us!"screeched rainpaw with greaf.then with her last breath echoleaf said"kits i love you more then anything but i must leave you, starclan are calling me,honeyfern my sister will look out for you.."she wisperd.rainpaw and brightpaw let out mews of grief."we love you."they told her together before her eyes turned grey and she stared into nough thing."lets get her back to camp"said brightpaw tearfully.rainpaw stared at her mother."it's my falt shes dead!,will they realy want me back?"she asked her sister tearfully."of coarse they will!"brightpaw anserwd.rainpaw looked at her sister trusting her completly."could you pick her up by the back fur ,i'll pick her up by the scruff.with that they carried her back to camp and laid her in the middle of the clearing.

Mallownose felt heart-broken. But why? She shook the feeling away and gulped loudly "I will" she sunk out of the bush and limped rapidly away from him.

Tawnyfur wrestled with the snake. It was strong, and she stuggled to stay away from it's mouth. But she clawed in scatched, ony a few of her blows even left a mark in the scaly skin.

Ravenshadow stalks fallowing the scent of a sparrow. He sees it, he spings, and kills it. He burys his fresh-kill then goes off to find more. After a bit of hunting, he also has a rabbit and two mice. He carries his mouth full of fresh kill back to camp.

Chloe ran through the forest, wishing she could be safe at home with her housefolks, but not after what Drake had told her. She found a gap in the tree roots making a kind of den. She squeezed iinside, it was sheltered from the wind. But what was she going to eat? What was she going to drink. She sobbed putting her head down, she thought back to what had made her leave.

Edgar eyes had widened and he ran to get the rest of their brothers and sisters. Soon they were all they, Marmalade, Drake and Chris. "What is all this fuss?"
Marmalade looked down "Your kittens, you can't keep them you know that?"
Drake had nodded in agreement "And they'll probably take you to the Cutter after they've found out!"
Chloe's eyes had widened, she didn't want her kits to be taken away from her! She didn't want to e sent to the cutter least of all! "I... I" she muttered, then she had run. She had no idea where... and now she was here, hungry, thirsty and tired, no way to take care of taking care of her kittens... great

Chloe sighed padding out, she sniffed trying to smell food, maybe she could catch a mouse... it sure wouldn't be as tastey as the fish flavored food her two-legs gave her, but it would at least be food, and she had to eat, her kittens would be coming any day now and she had to eat to give them milk.

The scent of prey made it's way into Greyfrost's nose. "Stormfrost is taking a while, I'm going to start hunting," he meowed. Greyfrost smelt the air, and cought te scent of rabbit. He crouched and stalked that direction. He tried to focus on catching prey, but was having trouble getting his mind off Stormfrost and Windpelt. When the rabbit came into sight, he sprang after it. But, his timing was off and the rabbit got away. Greyfrost tried to catch other prey, but just couldn't focus. He ran in the direction of the River Oak.

Windpelt cocked her head, wondering why Greyfrost wanted to catch prey already. She sighed, and parted her jaws until the scent of mouse wandered into her scent glands. She instinctively crouched down, and pounced. The mouse heard Windpelt coming, but once it tried to escape, she had already killed it. Windpelt spotted a bird in the corner of her eye, and pounced again, landing squarely on the bird, weighing it down. With one swift bite, the bird had gone limp, and Windpelt had picked up the prey and headed toward the parting in the forest to wait for Stormfrost. I wonder why she's taking so long. She must have caught some prey along the way.

Suddenly Stormfrost charged up, panting. "Hi, Windpelt! Sorry I got here so late. I found a squirrel and I chased it up a tree on the way here, then I caught this really annoying blackbird who kept trying to claw my eye." Stopping to catch a breath, she looked around. "Where's Greyfrost? I saw him running after a rabbit on the way here." Then she tensed, seeing the look in Windpelt's eyes. >He loves her!< she growled inside. Shaking her head, Stormfrost reprimanded herself: >Oh, don't be like that. I thought you wanted him to be happy!<

Fallenkit looked around at the forest, full of excitement. "Lets go this way!" she mewed and lept down from the tree stump. Sh ran tords the beach. Splashkit followed, trying to catch his breath.

Brambleheart appeared from the bushes carrying his vole, and two mice. "Yea, let's go back to camp."

Splashkit raced back to camp, following the scent of Fallenkit and himself from before.

Cloverstreak pricked her ears, scenting the breeze for prey and enjoying the lush scent of the forest. Hearing scratching ahead, she crept forward and saw a plump water vole. She stalked towards it and quickly pounced, snapping it's neck with her paw. Turning around, she looked at Stormwater and Songheart.

"Great catch!"Songheart purred.SHe pressed froward into the ferns to catch prey herself.Soon the scent of vole hit her nose,and she pressed against the ground.She crept forward slowly.

ReplyDelete*Stormwater paid no attention to them as he stalked a plump mouse at the edge of stream that swelled from all the rain the had had. When he pounced onto it, he slipped and fell into the stream, something(a snake) holding him under and seeming to strangle him.*

"STORMWATER!" Cloverstreak shrieked, racing toward him and diving into the water without a second thought. Paddling strongly against the current, she seached frantically for her mate. Her paw hit something wet and furry. Diving down, she sank her teeth into the scruff of the wet furry thing- a cat! As she pulled the cat up, however, she was confused. Stormwater wasn't this small, this light. She dragged the strange cat out of the water, hissed at Songheart to guard him, and dove back into the water for Stormwater. (ironic, being drowned in his own name...)

ReplyDeleteSongheart sped to the strange cats side.She inspected it closely.'How long has it been down there?'She thought,then sat by it's side to guard it.Songheart frowned and she heard the vole rustle away.

ReplyDeleteDiving back into the water, Cloverstreak caught a glimpse of Stormwater's fur. Without hesitating, she dove down to see what was holding him down. To her horror, she saw a huge water snake. She surfaced for air, her heart racing as she wondered what to do. Stormwater's time was running out.
(What happens next? He CAN'T die!!!)

ReplyDeleteSongheart noticed Cloverstreak horror."What's happening down there?"When she heard about the snake,she thought quickly.Without saying anything,she dove into the water.Slightly blinking her eyes open,Songheart spotted the snake and Stormwater.She padded over to them,then bit down hard right below the snakes head.This caused all her air to fly out.When the snakes grip loosened,she kicked Stormwater to the surface,hoping Cloverstreak would get him to shore.Then she noticed the snake was still very much alive.'If I let go,it will just strangle me!'She started to panic and feel light headed.
Cloverstreak stood frozen on the bank. Songheart had just saved Stormwater, and he needed to get to land. But Songheart was with the snake, and she was being attacked by it! Leaping into the water again, Cloverstreak swan to Stormwater, and shoved him with all her might towards the shore, knowing he would be able to swim the last bit back. Turning to Songheart, she dove under, and grabbed the snake in her mouth, pulling Songheart up, using the snake as a connection between them. Sh paddled fiercely towards the bank, exhaustion dragging her down like a stone. She thought of her kits, now warriors, and of Stormwater, and, for some reason, the cat she had dragged out earlier. Desperation sent new energy to he freezing limbs, and with a last effort, she dragged the snake-rope and Songheart to shore. With her last bit of strength, she cuffed the snake hard on it's head and killed it. Then she collapsed.

A gentle prodding woke her. Opening her eyes blearily, she saw the cat she had pulled out of the stream. He looked down at her with worried deep green eyes. "A- Are you okay?" he mewed. To Cloverstreak, his voice sounded like water flowing smoothly over stones. "I... Yes, I'm alright. What about Stormwater?? And Songheart? Are they okay?" she struggled to sit up, looking desperately around. "If you mean the other two cats you pulled out of the stream, yes, they are fine. They went for help, I believe." he blinked serenely at her. "You really should stay down." Sitting back down with a sigh, Cloverstreak mewed wearily, "And they left me here with you, did they?" "I think they forgot about me." he blinked. "Cats seem to do that a lot to me. I don't mind, much." "I see." Cloverstreak murmured. The two cats sat in silence as they waited for Songheart and Stormwater to return.

ReplyDeleteSongheart tore through the forest,still coughing water out of her lungs.Then she skidded to a halt."Wait,I don't know who that cat is.I can't leave Cloverstreak with him!"She turned around ran back."Cloverstreak!Are you okay?"Songheart asked,remembering that Cloverstreak had saved her.She watched the tom stare at her."Who are you?"She asked.

ReplyDelete"I'm fine." walking over to Stormwater, she gently licked his ears. "Stormwater? Are you okay?" she whispered. As she bent over her mate, the strange tone got up, and, completely ignoring Songheart's question, went over to Stormwater and began kneading his chest with skilled paws. Clovertreak looked on, transfixed by the streange, strange cat. Who WAS he?

Songheart carefully grabbed Stormwaters neck fur in her mouth."I'll take him back to camp."The she turned around leaving to two alone.
