Fernpaw grabs the first mouse she sees and eats it quickly about a tail-length away from the pile, when normally she would take her time picking a piece of prey and then go eat it at the apprentice den. She is very exciting today, and doesnt't want to wait another minute until training time.

ReplyDeletehoneyfern couldn't stand the pain and it was getting worse,then suddenly her body contracted and her first kit was born , a she-kit!but she didn't have time to purr,because her second kit, a she-kit was born soon after,then her third another she-kit,and last her forth a tom.she bent around and licked them then guided them to her.soon they began to suckle and the pain started to ebb away like a bad dream.she looked at her kits warmly."let's get all of you into the nursery."

She thought that if she had good thoughts, good things will happen instead of bad things. She hoped so much that she was right that it was true.

ReplyDeleteFernstream padds up to the fresh-kill pile and stares at it. "I'm not THAT hungry, but I must eat for my kits," she meowed, taking a vole. She padded over to a comfy clover patch to eat the fresh-kill in the last light of day (btw the sun has just set and the sky still has light, but it will soon be dark).

Nightkit slid on his paws and smirked. "You've gotten better, but you still won't defeat me!" He sped toward Rosepaw, bunching up his muscles so it looks like he'll leap on her again, but instead slid under and nipped at her hind legs. Nightkit jumped out and cuffed her ear playfully.

"I know so!" Nightkit did a quick roll and leaped high into the air, landing squarely on Rosepaw's back. He tried to push her down like before, but realized she's grown since the last play-fight. Nightkit hissed in frustration and slid under her instead. He arched his back, making her slide off, and pinned her down, gripping her shoulders so she won't do the same trick on him twice.

Thinking fast, Rosepaw shivered so she was slippery as a fish, and slid ungracefully out from under him. "Mousedung! That didn't work like it was supposed to! At least I got you!" she growled, grabbing his tail with her teeth so he couldn't turn around and get her.

Nightkit flicked his tail to the top of her mouth and moved it side to side, making it itch. As soon as she opened her mouth, he hooked his paws under Rosepaw's and swiped back to him, making her topple. Nightkit rushed over and placed a paw on her back. "Looks like I've won." He smirked, eyes shining in the moonlight.

Nightkit narrowed his eyes and sped after her, his eyes adjusting more into the darkness until he saw a flash of brown and white fur. "Why don't you understand the meaning of winning?" He sighed, but smiled as he spoke.

"Why don't YOU?" hissed an unknown voice. "Sharp, I've got one. Loose. Where's the other one?" A scraggly she-cat had pinned him down. "Pepper! I've found her!" called the unknown tom, Sharp. Nightkit heard Rosepaw's threatening hiss. "Take me, but let him go! He's just a kit. Leave him alone!" Nightkit heard the sounds of Rosepaw trying to fight the rogue Sharp. He clobbered her over the head and she fell to the ground, unconscious. "Nasty little one here." said Scratch. "Take the kit, and let's go!" Sharp picked up Rosepaw in his jaws like a kit, and Pepper picked Nightkit up. The two cats carried their "prey" away into the forest victoriously.

Now shut up, or that cute little tail your friend admires so much won't be there when she wakes up!" Pepper hissed, and bumped him purposefully against a log.
