Dewstar stopped her hunting patrol and turned to Icefrost to ask, "Where do you think-" She was cut off by the trampling of feet and soft barks. "Dogs!" she whispers loudly, "Mistpaw, run back to camp and get Fernflame, Talonpaw, and Surgingfleet. Icefrost and I will make sure they don't come further into the territory. Now, go!"

Mistpaw nodded and rushed to camp. She leaps onto the High Rock and yowls, "There are three dogs by the border and Dewstar needs Fernflame, Talonpaw, and Surgingfleet to come. Now." Mistpaw jumps down and races to the border with the the warriors.

Mistpaw lead the cats to the Border and had a quick word with Dewstar. She jumped onto the small brown dog's back and held on. She bit onto his ear.

Dewstar leaped under the large black and white dog, pummeled at his stomach, and crawled out from under him. Foolish dog, she thought as it swiped aimlessly underneath himself. Dewstar knocked his paws under him and tackled his side.

Icefrost leap at one of the incoming dogs and landed squarly on its back. She clawed at its spine and bit into it's ear. This is easier than I thought, Icefrost thought as she tackled the dog from above.

Berrysplash worked busily trying to save the cats. Cloudfire was looking worse, his flanks rose quickly, and his breathing was shallow.She padded over to him, gently giving him herbs. He smiled at her his blue eyes glittering, but his smile was filled with pain. He lapped up the herbs resting his head down. she padded over to Stormwater "How are you feeling?"

Rainfoot padded into the Medicine Cat. Her heart filled with pain to see her son. She rested her head in Cloudfire's fur "Will he live?" she mewed

Rainfoot nodded. She shot one last look at Cloudfire before nodding to Berrysplash and padded out of the den

*Surgingfleet leaped into the air, his claws outstretched, as he tackled a dog's muzzle, a very dangerous move. The dog yelped as his claws dug into the dog's nose and eyes. But the dog surged forward, throwing Surgingfleet slightly off balance. He lost his grip slightly, and tried to quickly reestablish it, but the dog struck out with it's teeth, grabbing his leg. Surgingfleet yowled, his leg searing in pain. His front claws were still in the dog, but the dog now also had a grip on him.He vainly tried to make the dog let go.*

Mistpaw heard Surgingfleet cry out in pain and rushed to the small, dark brown dog and tackled it's muzzle, freeing Surgingfleet of his pain. With the warrior's hep, she made the dog run away, tail curled under him. One down, two to go, she thought.

Dewstar yelped as the dog got up, stepping on her tail. She jumped onto his head with her back caw, digging in, and swiped at his eyes with the front. The dog howled in pain, but before he could shake Dewstar off, she hopped down and bit into it's side. The black and white dog took off running. With two of the dogs already gone the one also backed away and took off. Dewstar sighed, then called her cats together. "The dogs are gone. Let's go home."
